On the night of the accident, five people infiltrated the Chicorel villa in the quiet neighborhood of Zamalek, led by the famous safe thief, Juna Dario. أشرف العشماوي قاضٍ وروائي مصري صدرت له سبع روايات طويلة وكتاب وثائقي عن سرقة وتهريب الآثار المصرية بعنوان "سرقات مشروعة"، وصلت روايته الثانية "تـــويا" للقائمة الطويلة لجائزة البوكر العالمية لأفضل الروايات العربية عام 2012 ، وفازت رواية "البارمان" بجائزة أفضل رواية عربية من الهيئة المصرية العامة للكتاب عام 2014 . ترجمت بعض رواياته لعدة لغات وبيعت حقوق الملكية الفكرية لها لتحويلها لأعمال درامية بالسينما والتليفزيون.
