ابن سيرين (محمد بن سيرين الأنصاري) من كبار التابعين وعلماء التفسير والحديث في القرن الأول الهجري. وُلد في البصرة سنة 33 هـ، وكان من تلاميذ كبار الصحابة مثل أنس بن مالك وعبد الله بن عباس. اشتهر بورعه وتقواه وحرصه على العلم، فكان فقيهاً محدثاً مفسراً، إلا أن شهرته الكبرى جاءت من علمه الواسع في تفسير الأحلام، حتى أصبح اسمه مرادفاً لهذا العلم في التراث العربي والإسلامي. كان ذا بصيرة نافذة في تحليل الرؤى والأحلام، يستند في تفسيره إلى القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية وإلى الفهم النفسي والاجتماعي العميق. لم يكن علمه مقتصراً على الأحلام فقط، بل كان من أئمة الورع والزهد في عصره، واشتهر بصدقه وابتعاده عن الفتن السياسية. ترك أثراً كبيراً في الوجدان الإسلامي، وبقيت مؤلفاته مثل "تعبير الرؤيا" مرجعاً مهماً في علم تفسير الأحلام حتى اليوم.
