About the eBook
The book "The Hero and Conqueror Ibrahim and His Conquest of the Levant in 1832" takes us to one of the most brilliant pages in modern Arab history. Author Daoud Barakat recounts the journey of the brilliant leader Ibrahim Pasha, son of Muhammad Ali, who emerged as one of the greatest military and administrative leaders in the East. The book begins by outlining the political and strategic motives that drove Muhammad Ali Pasha to conquer the Levant, then recounts the details of the campaigns and battles that Ibrahim Pasha fought with steadfastness and competence until he reached the borders of Asia Minor, demonstrating his rare military genius. The author does not limit himself to recounting military events; he also sheds light on the political and social consequences that these conquests immortalized, and how this conquest affected the balance of power in the region and reshaped relations between Egypt, the Ottoman Empire, and European powers. In a graceful historical style, the book blends documentation and analysis to present a vivid portrait of a leader who made his will and determination a greater weapon than cannons, thus inscribing his name in the annals of the nation's heroes.
