Crying is evidence of a tender heart, awe of the soul, and fear of meeting God. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, is a good example for us. He was seen crying in many situations, prompting his Companions, may God be pleased with them, to follow his example.
This book contains many instances in which tears flowed from the eyes of the virtuous women of the ummah, from the female Companions of the Messenger of God and the Mothers of the Believers.
Their crying was out of mercy, compassion, awe, and fear of God, or in defense of Islam and its people, or because of the worldly tribulations that befall a person in their lives. We hope that this will be a beacon for us in our lives, so that we may be among the eyes that will not be touched by the Fire on the Day of Greatest Terror.
We ask God for guidance and righteousness for all.
