... The days passed, and the eight years I served in the Shura Council passed. I turned to those bygone days of my life and those bygone nights of my experience. I began turning the pages and exploring my memory to record for my children and grandchildren the thoughts of the past, the positions that passed, and the memories that passed.
I can almost see the future that future generations will live, and I see in the eyes of its parliamentarians their eagerness to learn about the experiences of their fathers and grandfathers, and how the Shura Council evolved in our dear homeland and our beloved kingdom. I hope that in this book I have contributed to providing these generations with something of what they will aspire to!
