My name is Renate Weldi, and I was born on March 2, 1961, in Neubeschenowa, a small village in the Banat region of Romania. My childhood was shaped by the German culture of the area, including attending a German-speaking school. In 1977, I emigrated with my family to the Federal Republic of Germany, where I began a new life. I am the mother of two children and have been a widow since 2015, after the sudden passing of my second husband.

Even as a young woman, I began expressing my thoughts and feelings through poetry. Inspired by special moments, life situations, and the power of nature, my poems became a way to process experiences and discover new perspectives. Nature plays a significant role in my life; I see it as a source of comfort and wisdom. This deep connection is also reflected in my book Thoughts: Paths of Destiny in My Life, which I published in 2018. In it, I recorded my experiences and reflections on life s highs and lows, hoping to show others how hope can emerge even in difficult times.
