Originality and modernity... when do they meet? In light of this ongoing struggle between fundamentalists and enlighteners, there are undoubtedly points of convergence between the two groups. Their path is the same, which is to get out of the crisis that has surrounded the Arab and Islamic nation. Hence the idea of ​​these meetings, meetings that brought together people of reason that went beyond the borders of Arab to Islamic geography from Mauritania to Afghanistan, and went beyond the borders of religion from Islam to Christianity, and went beyond the borders of fundamentalism to enlightenment, from Shawqi Allam, Ali Jumah, and Abdullah bin Bayyah to Muhammad al-Talibi and Abdul Majeed al-Sharafi. And Hisham Jaait, and she transcended the boundaries of gender and did not neglect the aspect of women. All of these people used the mind to understand the variables of reality. We may agree with them or we may disagree, but we do not deny that each of these minds carries within its words a part of the truth.
