What if there was an island where all the inhabitants were conjoined twins? On an island of conjoined twins located in a certain place and time, all its heroes are searching for something. The writer takes us through events of a legendary nature, full of sarcasm, suspense, and unforgettable characters whose adventures we live on land and sea, to raise urgent questions about the nature of human existence. And the feeling of loneliness, and how a person can spend his life searching for complete happiness. Events that seem funny on the surface, while their meaning is something worth stopping and contemplating. On the island of Etc. Etc., the writer created an integrated, independent fairy tale world. He has his own culture, religion, history, politics, geography, economy, and dreams, with a different way of speaking, and paying attention to the small matters, not the big ones and the fateful ones. Etc. Etc. Island is a window into our hidden souls, a magnifying glass for the duality, obsessions, fears, and absurdity that happens inside our heads at times.

مينا عادل جيد: كاتب مصري من مواليد المنيا عام 0991. تخرج في كلية الآداب قسم الإعلام بجامعة المنيا، ثم حصل على دبلوم الدراسات العليا في التنمية الثقافية بجامعة القاهرة. كتب في عديد من الصحف والمجلات والمواقع المصرية، وعمل مقدمًا ومُعِدًّا لبرامج تلفزيونية، وكتب سيناريوهات لأفلام وثائقية وروائية قصيرة. نال كتابُه «كنت طفلًا قبطيًّا في المنيا»، الصادر عام 0202، جائزة الكتاب الأول في العلوم الإنسانية في دورة 1202 من معرض القاهرة الدولي للكتاب. وصدرت له أعمال أدبية أخرى مثل «نواحي البطرخانة»، و«بيت المساكين».
