Humanity has gone through many stages, and after man succeeded in subjugating science and creating a massive industrial revolution that made him master of the universe, many philosophers shouted that the time had come to put aside religion, and the era of submission to reason, logic, and the rules of science had come.

In this book, Emile Broteau addresses the search for the relationship of religion and science in contemporary philosophy, and presents various doctrines that have dealt with this issue, whether by bias towards religion, inclination towards science, or by reconciling the two.

Proto concludes his book by presenting his point of view on how it is appropriate and possible for religion and science to coexist together, without one being unfair to the other.
