It is neither satisfactory nor pleasurable to write, if you are forced to constantly criticize and constantly blame, or to speak, if you are forced to record in your speech what makes you sad or bad. A person may sometimes find pleasure in criticism, but if criticism continues, it is a burden on the critics themselves, so how? If the writer does not find a place for it, and does not find a way out of it?! In fact, I do not know how an honest writer can write and please and satisfy readers, and how an honest speaker can speak and please and satisfy his listeners. There is nothing in Egypt that pleases anyone, and there is no one among Egyptians who is satisfied with anything.
