American political elections and parties
About the eBook
Very few Americans, specifically a rare few citizens of other countries, accommodate the electoral process in the United States. Participation rates in the elections there appear there with very few numbers compared to other mature democratic countries. This may be partially attributed to the lack of competition throughout the country, as only two parties have real opportunities to win, although many citizens do not feel loyal to any of these two parties, but rather look at them with suspicion and contempt. This book highlights these electoral dynamics, trying to understand the reasons for lack of participation and analyzing social and cultural influences on this unique political system.
