About the eBook

Until the mid -nineteenth century, the Arab culture did not know the art of theater, which was prevalent in Europe and which started from the stage of pagan myths in the time of ancient Greek civilization, and developed in the religious theater in Christian covenants, and witnessed a great development in the ages of the European renaissance and enlightenment until it became an art More. While the Arab theater faced many problems and challenges that slowed down his career and delayed as an independent art. Some considered it an intruder of Arab culture and a Western heresy targeting oriental values and morals. The prose theater had a strong competition from the lyrical theater, which was admired by the audience at the beginning, and the language of plays was often colloquial and richly dominated by vulgarity.
