Disaster strikes a passenger plane bound for Australia, leaving only one survivor. Completely alone, he must struggle to stay alive, confronting the hidden dangers of an unknown, deserted island. 'The Island' is the debut novel of Maja Nór Salómon Nielsen (b. 1893), written in collaboration with her son Malthe (b. 2012). The story is inspired by Malthe's own Robinsonade.
