"Anyone who follows the writings of Dr. Salah Al-Ghazali Harb will find that they are characterized by very clear characteristics, foremost among which is unquestionable honesty. From this honesty, he derives clear courage to express what he believes in, or what he sees as negatives in all aspects of Egyptian life. This is what makes his words sometimes difficult for those who fear the truth. His writings are also characterized by comprehensiveness, as they vary between issues that it is obvious that he is concerned with, such as health and education, especially university education, and issues that it is logical for him to be concerned with as a citizen concerned with the suffering of his countrymen, such as issues of rising prices, the difficulties of daily life, and corruption. He also finds issues that stem from his being an intellectual who must be concerned with culture and art and their societal role, not to mention the major public issues related to the security of Egypt and the Arabs, as is evident in his interest, for example, in the Palestinian issue and Israeli practices towards it. However, the reader may be surprised to find him following sports issues, keen on their quality, and monitoring the manifestations of corruption in some sports practices. On the third hand, anyone who follows the writings of this dear friend notices that they are greatly influenced by his academic approach. His treatment of any problem usually begins with a very precise description of it and its roots, such that the reader of his articles is prepared to interact with what he writes, even if he is not familiar with the subject at all. After the precise description of the problem comes the dissection of its dimensions and analysis of its causes, concluding with a proposal for solutions.
