About the eBook
I was deeply impressed by the beauty of what I was reading, its fluidity and flow, and my blame for "Khaled Montaser" stemmed from this admiration. What I was reading were not articles, but literary pieces composed with skill, reflecting the superior narrative abilities of a wonderful short story writer and a skilled playwright, together, yes, together. Khaled Montaser summoned the selves of those he was writing about, a summoning that transformed the painful absence into a beautiful, melancholic presence. He embodied them and began to narrate what they saw, and what it might be possible that they would see after their departure. It was a unique creative technique in which Khaled Montaser combined skilled storytelling with monodrama, or a one-person play... a long, exciting and moving narrative and theatrical monologue, in which the writer restored the voice of the departed who still overlook what was of their world, and overlook us, presenting the case of their exquisitely sensitive souls and the sweetness of pain. Something beautiful, something new, in one of the most complex and profound issues of human existence, and the human soul, and this in itself is an important opening to the files of this human suffering, which people avoid talking about, an aesthetic opening that scatters all the masks of social evasion from the duty to stop, to discern, to understand, and to have compassion towards this cry of the cries of the human soul, of some of the most honest and talented people.
