The Orientalists preceded us in paying attention to Jalal al-Din and his poetry. His works were translated into several European languages, and the Westerners who cared most about him were the English Orientalists. This attention reached its goal in the works of Professor Nicholson, who completed his extensive research in Islamic Sufism by translating the entire Mathnavi into English, and printing the Persian original and the translation.
The subject of the book is to introduce Jalal al-Din al-Rumi, and to introduce his two immortal works: the Masnavi and the Diwan. And to clarify his position in Sufism, poetry, and all Islamic literature. The author divided the book into two parts: the first, the history of Jalal al-Din and his family, and the second, his books and opinions.
