The truth is that the conflict does not exist between science and religion, as each of them derives, on the one hand, from aspects of the intellectual formation of man. That is why religion has remained and science has remained constant, because each of them is a manifestation of human thought. But if we believe this, then how can we explain that long history in which the leaders of religion tried to silence the voice of science, and what will we explain that conflict in which men of science will try to silence the voice of religion in the future?
If we believe that the conflict did not arise between religion, considering it to be something derived from human nature, and science, considering it to be something derived from the rational power of the rational animal, and we believe that the conflict did in fact arise between sectarian theology and science, we would be able to explain the events of history, and we would even be able to show something of what will happen in the future.
