The book is an extension of the noble prophetic guidance, as it presents some of those who followed the example of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, in purposeful chanting that builds minds, pleases ears, and softens hearts, and at the same time pleases God, Blessed and Most High, as it deals with the biography of singers, beginning with Salama Hijazi and Abu Al-Ala Muhammad, passing through Sayyed Darwish, Zakaria Ahmed, Sayyed Metwally, Muhammad Mahmoud Al-Tablawi, and Nasr Al-Din. Toubar, Ahmed Muhammad Al-Kahlawi, Muhammad Jibril, and ending with Sami Yusuf, the English Muslim who has recently developed a great deal of development in the art of chanting.
The book denounces some of those who involve themselves in the art of religious singing with the intention of becoming famous and drawing attention to themselves.
