The social and political aspect in the philosophy of Ibn Sina
About the eBook
Ibn Sina is an immortal philosopher among the Muslim philosophers. Philosophy did not prevent him from being a politician and a statesman. He had the same favor, enjoyment, and bliss that people like him sometimes had, just as he had his share of trouble and persecution at other times.
He did not adhere in his thinking to a particular doctrine from the doctrines of his predecessors, ancient or modern. Rather, after he absorbed the philosophies that preceded him, he thought for himself and began to choose from the opinions of his predecessors what agreed with his inclinations and thinking, not caring where he found that. For this reason, we find in his writings features and characteristics of the various doctrines known in the history of thought and philosophy.
