The story of civilization
About the eBook
The author of this book is one of the most famous psychologists. In this book, he dealt with glimpses of the story of human civilization, presented its most important features, explained its faults and virtues, and did not bias it or oppress it. He explained the dangers to which it is exposed, and showed us the way in which we can avoid them. He ignored what is not a component of civilization, such as the history of kings, commanders, conquests, and wars, and confined himself to what is at its core.
As for the method of his research, the author took it upon himself to simplify the topic to the maximum extent. Although the book is not devoid of many modern scientific facts and theories, it is easy for the average reader to understand everything in it. Since the book was published in 1936, it did not contain any reference to the First World War or its humanitarian impact, so the translator added a few paragraphs for clarification. He also added a small number of pages about ancient Egyptian civilization and the impact of the Arabs and Islam on world civilization, because the writer neglected these two. The two civilizations.
