Doctor Babacar lives alone with his memories:
An African childhood, a blue-eyed mother who visits him in his dreams, and an old love for Azealia, who has also disappeared.
But fate put in his path a lonely child like him. She lost her mother at birth, so Babacar promises her a better future, and takes her to the island of Haiti, which has been torn by violence, corrupt governments, and armed gangs, but which remains a beautiful and picturesque island.
Babakar will meet Fouad, a Palestinian, and Movar, a Haitian, and the three of them will continue the journey together, seeking a life less scattered and isolated.
