The book deals with the provisions of fasting from the Qur'an and Sunnah through the Qur'anic verses that were revealed to encourage fasting, and clarify its provisions, with an explanation and interpretation of them. It also contains the noble prophetic hadiths that were narrated from the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him.
