Pharmacy is an honorable humane profession. The profession of the gods of the ancient Egyptians and the heroes of Greece and Romans is the profession most worthy of studying its history and tracing it back to antiquity until the beginning of creation, and knowing the close relationships that link it to other professions and sciences such as medicine, astronomy, philosophy and chemistry.
Pharmacy is a scientific art that investigates the origins of medicines, whether they are plant, animal, or mineral, in terms of their composition, preparation, knowledge of their chemical and natural properties, their medical effect, and how to prepare compounded medicines from them. Pharmacy is inherent in the emergence of man on earth, and when the first man was wandering with the beasts searching for food among plants and animals in the desert of his life, he must have noticed some of the properties of what he encountered or used because of their effect on him, and he must have been teaching his son, and thus the generations passed down the observations of the ancestors through others. He knew about the effective elements it contained, so he attributed the power and influence in it to the terrible secrets.
