History of European philosophy in the Middle Ages
Youssef Karam
The book deals with an important stage in the history of philosophy, namely European philosophy in the Middle Ages. The author began his book with an introduction in which he outlined the stages that European philosophy passed through in the Middle Ages, which was known - at the time - as "scholastic philosophy." The book was divided into sections and chapters that presented the features that comprised this radical stage in the history of philosophy. In the first chapter, he discussed the leading and distinctive philosophical figures of that period, and in the second chapter, he addressed the era extending from the Renaissance sent by Charlemagne in the last quarter of the eighth century to the end of the twelfth century, and the flourishing of the scientific movement that characterized this era. The book then moved on to talk about the separation of schools from episcopal authority, the revolt against abstract meanings, and the tendency toward experimental reality.
