André (1869 - 1951) is one of the major French writers during the first half of the twentieth century.

Many of his writings have been translated into Arabic, including "The Immoral," "The Vatican Cellars," "The Narrow Door," and the novel "The Counterfeiters" that we have. The novel "The Counterfeiters" was published in 1925 in the French magazine "National Salvation Front."
