Mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle: Myth and Science
About the eBook
The Bermuda Triangle, known as the "Devil's Triangle," has always baffled scientists and ignited the imagination of writers, who have woven countless stories and myths around it. In it, ships sank without a trace being found, planes disappeared from radar screens, and it was said that entire rescue teams sank. The ocean, while flying over this triangle, and most unofficial estimates indicate that about fifty ships and more than twenty aircraft have disappeared in this region, over the last hundred years, and many were lost on board.
The region was not known by its current name until 1964, when the American writer Vincent Gaddis coined this phrase to refer to a triangle-shaped area in the Atlantic Ocean. Over the years, many conspiracy theories spread to explain the mystery of the disappearance of ships and planes, while geological and scientific explanations spread. It is acceptable, given the disappearance of planes and ships in this region, even if it is caused by extremely rare phenomena, which only a few know about.
