He excels at portraying characters with imaginative touches that reflect the true realism of history, illuminating through the pages of the novel the social, political, doctrinal, and geographical features of the Arab countries. He did not neglect to clarify the foundations upon which the Prophet relied in spreading the principles of Islamic advocacy, which made the book receive great praise and wide appreciation from the scholars of Islamic thought upon its appearance.

سلامة موسى، مفكر وكاتب مصري رائد، وُلِدَ في عام 1887 بقرية بهنباي بالزقازيق. يُعد من أوائل المروجين للفكر الاشتراكي في مصر وداعياً للتغرب والانفتاح على الثقافة الغربية لتحقيق نهضة المجتمع المصري. درس في المدرسة التوفيقية والمدرسة الخديوية في القاهرة، وتابع تعليمه العالي في فرنسا وإنجلترا حيث اطلع على الفلسفات والعلوم الغربية. عُرف بتأثره بنظريات داروين وكتب عديدة في النقد الاجتماعي والديني، وتبنى بعض الأفكار العنصرية السائدة في ذلك الوقت. ألّف كتبًا أثارت جدلًا واسعًا وترك إرثًا فكريًا وأدبيًا معقدًا تراوح بين الإعجاب والانتقاد الشديد. توفي في عام 1958، تاركًا بصمة لا تُمحى في تاريخ الفكر المصري.
