The book was written because I started to take an interest in alternative energies at a very young age, and before the age of 20 I saw an older man making a windmill. It was around the time when the large 2 Megawatt wind turbine was built in Tvind, which was managed by the traveling college.

It was my lot to try my hand at different forms of energy, which I describe in my book, which is aimed at everyone with a passion for protecting our planet and with an interest in developing and forming the framework for new environmentally friendly forms of energy.

Jørn Nielsen has developed several controls with digital reading of sensors, which can read the temperature of a solar collector as well as the liquid content of the temperature of the tank both at the bottom and at the top.

During a 10-year period when Jørn lived in the Philippines, in 2006 he helped develop a 2 volt solar panel of approximately 30 watts.
