'After the Ball'' - is a work by one of the greatest writers in the world, Russian prose writer and thinker L. N. Tolstoy (1828 - 1910). The basis of the story - are the events, which happened to Tolstoy's brother. The writer was interested in the problem of the influence of the circumstances on the person's behavior and in the question whether a person is able to control himself.
